A few days ago i was driving my car and everything was all good .Until later at nigth when i parked my car it started shaking and the rpm was below than usual. The next day i whent to go see if a spark wire came loose cuz it does that some times but this time it didnt. The car turns on but the rpm is to low and it makes the car turn off in less than a minute.I could keep the car on by steeping on the the gas but when i let it go it turns off.Is there some one out there that knows what the problem is and if so how much $ im i looking at o fix it.By the way my car is a 89 240sx se.I apreciate all the tips and help from you guys.

sounds like an intake leak to me.

when u have an intake leak air is not passing through the MAF so the computer doesnt know how much fuel to add. (think almost like a short circuit.)

Look along the entire run of the intake from the throttle body to the filter box. Any cracks in the hoses? Any popped off hoses?

Also check your MAF connector, maybe it came loose? (its the metal piece after the air filter box. check the wires and connector that runs into it.

good luck!!!!!! :dunce
