I have just ran into a problem. My car will not start without a jump. When it does start it runs normal and accelerates fine then when I am coming to a stop it bogs down and the lights go dim and then it dies. Recently my car was broken into and the stereo was taken. I am wondering would that have anything to do with it ? Could it be the battery or something with the starting/charging system. Please help anyone any tips would help. I have checked a few fuses like the electronics fuse in the central junction box and the fuel pump fuse in the battery junction box. Please help. Please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The situation has changed. Now I have a no start no crank condition. I am leaning towards the battery because when I first checked it it was at 11.9 V which is not sufficient but then checking it a few minutes later I found that it somehow came up to 12.06 V. I did not try to start it again though. I investigated a few things and here is what I found. Alt fuse works, relay inside console is clicking (I Don't know what realy that is but I think it is either ignition or starter), Door switch on passenger side stays like it is open because of a woman hitting my door and when you open the passenger side of the door part way a module near the parking brake starts clicking like crazy and won't stop til you slam the door shut. please help.

you probably have a bad alternator that has killed the battery. you ought to replace both because if you just replace one or the other chances are your new part will be ruined by the unchanged part

Found the problem like a few days ago. It was a bad ground connection.
