Car just starting stalling. Any ideas? Air Intake Valve? 05 Spec V

Hello, I have a 05 Sentra SE-R Spec V and just yesterday it started to occasionally stall on me when I slow down or when I go into neutral. I took it to a dealership and the guy thinks it is the "air intake valve" or the "air flow control"? He said it would probably be like $500 to get it fixed. Has anyone had this problem or have any suggestions?

WTF is air intake valve or airflow control.. I know of "throttle valve" or "butterfly valve." Sometimes it seems these mechanics dumb it down too much... Anyway, keep us posted.

the IACV (Idle Air Control Valve) would most likely be the culprit here, You could possibly clean it and see if it works once re-installed as well as testing connectors, sensors, ect... or just buy a new one. If you pay $500.00 to have some one do it for you, you might as well flush that money down the toilet or put it in an envalope and send it to me. it's a couple of wire connectors and four screws, it is usually placed on the back of the intake mani.

BTW...if your machanic dumbs it down too much for you, maybe there is a reason for that lol
