I just had my head rebuilt and put it back on my ka24e in my 89 240sx. The car, after a bit of tinkering, was running like a champ but has this terrible exhaust leak somewhere. Today i tried to fix it to no avail by ordering a new gasket to replace the old one that was shot and tightening up the botls. Turns out the hotshot header that i have and the new cat i recently bought arnt supposed to fit together or something because they connect at a slight angle causing a very slight space inbetween where they connect.

Now to the problem... All i did was play with the gasket and bolts for the catalytic converter...thats it.. I went to start my car and it hessitated a bit after it started it plunged in rpms down to around 400ish and struggled for a second then went fine. i back it out of the driveway and park it to clean up. When i go to start it 5 mins later, it just doesnt start. When i give it gas it starts and as long as i stay on the gas it stays running. This sounds like timing or tps type of thing to me but how could this have changed with playing with the cat bolts?

Thanx sorry its long...

prob a coincidence. i would go through the basics like timing, fuel pressure, etc. then if you can, check maf voltage. sometimes a ka24e will jump time and you have to hold the gas down to keep her running.
