Pull a plug leave it on the coil and put the ground strap of the plug against the head, have someone turn the motor over see if it sparks. If it sparks put it back in turn over some more pull a plug see if its wet with fuel... If not make sure you have fuel pressure. If you do make sure the grey wire on your injectors harness has a 12v signal going to it from the ignition on.

i got the harness off ebay... it was a plug and play harness... i also reset the timing and now when i turn the key on and prime the fuel lines it tries to start but then doesnt.... right now it has the original fuel pump in it but i ordered a walbro 255 fuel pump... could the original pump just not be strong enoughto get it started and running?

No.

Did you do anything anyone asked above as the basic debug for an engine not starting?

it is x10 so it is running at about 10 psi at idle, then and now when i give it some gas it jumps to about 5 then goes down to 0 when i let off the gas... i am pretty sure i have it hooked up correctly

if you're talking about a christmas tree style gauge then just the middle pin on the o2 sensor...dont remember exact pin off the top of my head.
10psi at idle is low but not horrible, depends on what oil you're running and condition of the motor, full load 70psi sounds ok.
