Well the car idled fine for about 5 min so i decided to take it out for a drive. 1st gear goes quickly, 2nd gear stutters a bit when I'm on half throttle, and when I got to 3rd it just wasn't running right. I try to give it some more gas and it either wouldn't rev or it sputtered and died. I'm rolling alond and pop the clutch in 2nd to start it again and it did the same thing it wouldn't rev and sputtered and died. Then it wouldn't start for like 5-10 minutes. I drove her to the gas station to fill up and when I tried to start her she would die after like 10 seconds or 2minutes. So the next time I got her started I just kept the revs up enough to get me home. I don't get it because she reved fine and smooth back at my house but felt like crap when I started to drive her. I pulled the fuel pump and the filter that was white is kind of grey metal color now. I don't know if thats the filtering element inside. I pulled the plugs and they look nice and brown with a little bit of black at the bottom. I have a whole idle air assembly that I cleaned up from another motor ready to put on. Any info to help me get to school tommorrow morning 6 hours away is appreciated.

check the coolant temp. sensor too, it can cause all kinds of crazy problems - including the ones you have mentioned. if you do that as well as your other stuff you should be fine. have you checked the spark? it might be a little weak under load or something...

Checked the coolant temp and it work fine. Switched and cleaned the AAC, and FICD. Tried another ecu. Checked the CAS it works fine. Checked the ignitor wiring and it seems fine. I'm at my wits end with this motor. AHHHHHHHH.

I really don't know anymore. I've been up for 12 hours straight trying to get this piece to work. And that's after 2 weeks of continous work on her. I tryed a different ignitor, CAS, the whole Idle air control assembly, ECU, etc. I'm tired and dead cause I can't make it to school tommorrow. Hope some miracle happens soon. I have a comp on Sat and Sun.

Well whenever a car doesn't run right/start, there are always 3 things to check, and do so in this order;

1. CHECK THE CODES ON THE ECU!!! This is exactly what they're there for!

2. If no codes check for fuel. With out fuel, there is no running.

3. If fuel, check for spark. If you have fuel and air, but no spark, then nothing goes kaboom and the engine doesn't run.

If you have no code, fuel, and spark, and the car doesn't start, then you did something wrong.

Alright this is gettign weirder by the day. I finnally got the ca to start with a different MAF. But as i was driving back it stated happening again. The car would backfire violently then no power and shut off. This all happened along highway 5 last night. My car wouldn't even idle let alone drive right so I limped it to the next exit about 25 miles away and spent the night in a hotel instead of the car(roll cage isn't too comfortable) When I woke up I took the bov rerouting plumbing off. Now the car made it the rest of the trip without dying once. But my oil catch can started to fill up about 1/4 of the way. And some oil was on the ground also. I plan on blowing this motor to hell If it will let me make it to my drift comp on Sunday.

If your catch can is filling-up with oil, it's already in trouble. You should try the codes as suggested, then try simple things like AFM wiring (where the extension was made), intercooler piping (leaks will also cause this problem, and especially the way the afm is hooked-up before the turbo.

Well the only code that showed up was the CAS. but that was after I tested it which the FSM said it would show. I'm going to do a compression test after the rain slows down here. I'm guessing the rings may have crapped themselves when it was backfiring. And yeah I checked all the hoses at least 3 times. There all good.
