when i am starting in first or when i shift to second, the car jerks uo until 5000 or 6000 rpm. this happens even when the accelorator is floored. i tried searching it on google, and i read that the problem might be the fuel pump.

My Max was doing the same thing. I took it to the local shop changed the pump then it would die. It starts idles fine then as soon as i tried to put in gear it died again. It gave MAF code replaced that and its all good. So I had them put the old fuel pump back on just to see if it was that and it caused a chain of events. The car runs fine its beren about 3 days now... i would check the codes just to make sure. just a suggestion since i ain't the most knowlegable. Feel Me!

Has it thrown a code? Was the check engine light on at any point in time? Could be MAF, Fuel pump or filter... other than jerks, is there anything more descriptive about the problem?

yeah, the engine light has been on for like 6 years, long before this problem started. weve taken it to like 3 dealers and they said the dash was faulty.
