I just had an alignment done. I've checked my suspension components. I thought that maybe my caliper was stuck cause when i put the car in the air, the right front tire was the only one that had resistance when turning. The left front was free as can be. Then i looked closely at the pads and rotors and they're all equally worn, so i ruled a stuck caliper out. The only thing I can think of is a bad/ dirty wheel bearing causing resistance which would make that wheel wanna spin slower than the rest which would make it pull that direction. Its really bad when i go over a bump. It jerks the whole steering wheel. Any advice?

That could be bump steer, normally caused by bad alignment or caster is off. What could cause the caster to be off is a bad tension rods. Does the steering wheel shake really bad during a hard brake?

no, it does shake a little but not like its having a seizure or something. Sometimes the steering wheel shakes a little when im just going straight down the highway. But only sometimes not always

Have you had your tires checked? Try and rotate them and see if that changes the issue. It possible you could have a tire separating, that is one of the signs when it does.

When you changed your pads, did you get new rotors or just turn them? That is also a sign of a warped rotor.

Still a good idea to check the tension rod, if there is any sign of cracking or fluid leaking out, that needs to be replaced.

Tires don't have but 3500 on them so hopefully that's not it. But I'm not gonna rule it out. And I haven't changed my pads and rotors yet, just looked at them. Can I put a straightedge in the rotor to see if its warped? And ill double check the tension rods. Thanks

Usually you can tell if a rotor is warped or worn (it will have a lip on the edge)

While you're rotating the tires around, check to make sure the cliper itself is bolted on tight. If its loose, the caliper can become cocked and cause weird things to happen to the wheel

Despite that, I'm leaning toward bad tension rod bushing and/or bad wheel bearing

All my rotors have little lips on them. They're not huge but you can definitely tell they're there. I'm gonna change my rotirs and brake pads soon hopefully that fixes it if not then ill prefer tension rods just to make sure

Rotors will will cause a shimmy if they are warped, sometimes bad if brakes are pressed hard. Tension rods don't necessarily have to be replace, you can buy poly inserts, which runs about $35. Very easy to put it, taking all the rubber out and the metal rings are the most difficult part.

Another thing you can look into, which I am having a similar issue is the the Master cylinder. It is possible that one of the o-rings are causing blow by which applies pressure to one side sooner than the other. Mine are odd, I can press the brakes lightly and all is fine, I press a little harder and I get a nasty pull to one side, I think driver. I press harder, the pull goes away. I rebuilt the calipers, flushed the system, ABS system is good, its the only thing that is left. This is for braking.

When you go over a bump and it still jerks to one side, you have an issue with the geometry, tension rods are mainly what I am thinking. If the steering rack bushings are bad, this could also cause an issue, especially with the steering wheel. Again, the poly bushings are the way to go, and only cost about $25. If the rack is covered in oil, this will deteriorate the rubber bushings extremely fast. This will also cause the steering wheel not to center after a turn.
