As the title says. The odd thing is my battery is ok. I've checked it with a multimeter, but the car gets no juice whatsoever (the digital clock is even dim). The car ran fine the last time I drove it, then when I went out to start it next it was as it is now.

This has to be a connection problem of some sort. I've looked through the fuse list and couldn't see anything that would nix all systems in the car this way. Is there a fuse that could cause this? My only other idea is that there's a line that somehow mysteriously disintegrated or something. My battery leads are clamped on tight and I've tried twisting them around to get a better contact. Any ideas?

did ya check the battery? Perhaps the alternator's dead and the last time you drove it, it drained from the battery.

yes, I've checked it with a multimeter. Also the fact that I don't get the faintest spark out of anything (not even the digital clock) leads me to believe it's not the battery. If the battery were dead, I'd at least get faint signals.

betcha it's a bad ground at the battery. Mine was corroded to hell, several other 240's I work on have multitudes of other problems with theirs like the metal band split, and this and that. Give that a shot. Couldn't hurt.

thanks 180fan, I'll go out there and make sure the terminals and connectors are all abraded and clamped tightly.

s13sr20chris, the car doesn't turn over. It behaves as if there were no battery connected whatsoever.

ok,you are on the right path then. you have batt, cables, fusible links and chassis grounds.

those are the most likely culprits and i think 180fan is leading you down the right path.
