car is stalling

I drive a 1989 240 sx, with a manual Transmission and recently when I have been down shifting from 3rd to 2nd to go around corners my car has been stalling out on me, and almost causing me to smack a curb and a stop sign.Any clue to why this is happening??????? ANYONE!!

have you performed all the checks for this problem listed in 240 technical as well as followed the AIV removal artical in that section??
