ok the car is stalling at stop lights and when i have to stop. it wont die if i down shift and then put it in nuetral at like 1500-1800 rpms some times it will start to go and then bog down and then it will go. not exactly sure why this is happening.

my set up is t3/t4, reserculating bov, 38mm wg, 12:1 fmu. i also relocated bat to the trunk the spark plug gaps are .030

is the BOV recirculated properly after the mafs and before the turbo compressor inlet? Is the IACV hooked up to the coldpipe near the throttle body?

yes it is after maf and before turbo and the IACV is on the cold pipe just before the TB but i have my waste gate teed into the IACV aslo so that the wg would see the boost that the TB sees

check for boost leaks. if there are any holes in any of your intake/intercooler (if you have one) piping your car will sputter and die, but also there'd be a big loss of power....so if you feel like your car is being held up - this is probably the case.

I've blown a hole right through the little rubber hose that goes from the intake to the TB two times in a row now car runs like ****.

My car (n/a ) stalls at stop lights at well. It only happens after i drive it for a good 30 minutes in the warm weather. It's fine during the winter. It bogs down when i'm under 2,500 rpm. Any ideas?

12:1 FMU...ouch...whats your fuel pressure at idel? The extra fuel pressure might be drowning the cylinders

i thought about that but wouldn't the fmu only rise the fule pressure under boost? i don't know if the pressure is just in the line after i get off the gas and then it drowns the cylinders.i have a 7:1 re cal kit on the way i hope that fixes it .

You’re absolutely right, there shouldn’t be any extra fuel pressure at idle, unless the FMU is malfunctioning and is increasing the fuel pressure without boost.

Couple of things, fouled plugs do to to much fuel, a 12/1 FMU is ALOT of fuel. Serious carbon buildup on the pistons and combustion chamber, cause detonation, not enough to hurt the motor, but the knock sensor will retard timing. Intake air temp sensor on the way out, pulls timing when the car is hot, ot makes the ecu think the car is hot.

Just a couple other options to check out while your looking at the motor. If the plugs are foulked, swap them out and run a can of SeaFoam from Autozone, it'll steam clean the intake and head and pistons real well. It'll smoke very badly during the process, but thats normal.

Your IACV may be clogged and barely working also, seafoam will help this as well.

Hey man.

Well this may be a stupid question but, did you try turning your idle up higher?

If not there's a small screw at the side/rear of the motor on the throttle body side. Turn it forward towards the rad to increase the lidle and back, towards the fire wall, to bring the idle down. I'll try and get a pic to post up if you don't know about this.

I had the same problem, especially when I left off the throttle coming off the highway or just high rpm's in general. So I just turned my idel up to 850-900 ish and it solved it.

most people solve this problem by cleaning the iaa(iacv) unit. i just took my iaa unit apart and the aav valve was open because the spring was old and there was a build up of grud. definitely clean the iaa. also, get rid of the aiv because it will polute your intake with exhaust.

SeaFoam is awsome....I've never has a problem with it...EVER. Used it on 5-6 cars of my own and several of my friends. These are mostly high mileage motors.
