Car is spurting coolant from bleeder screw

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I recently acquired a 2008 Infiniti Ex35 with 53,000 miles at the end of March of this year. I have been frequenting this forum and I decided why not ask the guys at nicoclub. So here is the issue, when I opened my hood yesterday, I saw some dried up coolant on the right side of the engine bay. It seems that there is coolant spurting out from the bleeder screw. What could be my problem? I do not have any issues with the car idling, overheating, etc. Thanks!

This is not uncommon. There were a few EX owners who reported the same issue in the past. Mine had a bit of dried coolant residue around the area as well.

Don't worry, it's an easy fix. Here is the part number for the bleeder screw gasket: 21481-18000

Ok perfect. So it is just a gasket replacement? This is not foretelling me something could be wrong with the cooling system correct? Thanks for the quick response.
