im getting spark, and engine is "thumping" very hard. I can smell gas coming more so outta the left exhaust pipe.
I have replaced ign and egi relays. Cold start sensor*coolant temp sensor*, and purchased a new battery. I am taking the car to nissan to have the ptu recall done for free this week. There was some corrosion on my clips to the throttle bodies as well.
video will be posted soon. HELP!!!!!!!
P.s when car ran, it ran perfect, just at idle it would shake slightly, like the driveshaft was making the car "sway" :frown:

Have you checked your fuel system at all? your fuel injectors could be leaking..

I know you said gas was coming out of the exhaust, how long in total did you crank it for? By getting spark you mean that all the spark plugs are in working order?

Try cranking the engine with the gas pedal all the way down, this will prevent more fuel from leaving the injectors, thus preventing you flooding the engine.

I sure you have, any codes?

Hows the timing? It could be possible it jumped a tooth or two.

If you want to see if your injectors are working, pull out the CAS, plug it back in, turn the car on and turn the part that is normally in the head. You should hear your injectors click.

I would also do what TT said, check the fuel system and fuel pressure. Good luck.

Damn, I reposted a good response but somehow it didn't post from my blackberry yesterday.

Tyler, holdin the gas pedal down would clear a flooded engine. If that didn't work for you, then keep trying it for a little bit. if it doesn't work, start checking to make sure your CAS is in the right position.

Then if that's in the right spot, run diagnostics on your ECU:

Also wouldn't hurt to run a compression test either.

well im currently having problems getting the fuel pump removed.
The threads on the six bolts holding in the fuel pump are stripped.
Im prob going to have to drill them out and taper them with bigger bolts :/

I asked the dude if I could come just pick it up and install it myself.
But he was like " man I know how us car guys are, we wanna do everything ourselves. But we gotta do the install for the recall to be legal..."
So no :( Im not doing it myself!
But it is being done for free :D :bigthumb:
Nissan dealerships around here tend to rip your arms and legs off, then take a gigantic sheeyat on you!!!

I was talking to a technician about gtr's and he said, Doing a break job on a 2011 gtr cost 7,500 !!!!!! They change every rotor and bleed the lines completely of old fluid...

:bs: :wtf2:

7500 for a F*ckin brake job, seriously?! If they EVER told me that with a straight face on, i'd laugh at their pathetic scam and ask them how they came up with a brake job costing as much as a high mileage z32 twin turbo.

well here's an update. I replaced the fuel pump it crunk and ran for a day then cut off.
same problem again. I then checked the ptu, seemed a previous owner had already swapped over to the new style. I then changed all the injector clips and nothing. new years eve IT CRUNK AND RAN AWESOME!!!!
new years day...it wouldn't crank same sheeyat.
I ran codes got 55 meaning nothing is wrong.
I really have no other idea's what to do guys :/
I don't wanna have to take this thing to a shop or worst sell it.
It's killing me that one day it will crank *it does misfire and start rough sometimes but after a warm up it will* run fine then the next it will be dead as a door knob.
please help :(

Did you ever get your injectors tested for leaks?

Heres a pic list of everythign fuel related.

http://www.z32photoguide.com/fuelsys.html

Check each component, if it's cheap, replace it. That's what I'd do.

well its def not fuel related it seems like the car is almost getting too much fuel and flooding the plugs. But at the same time some days it's a BAMF running awesome as a mo fo!!!

It's like the cold start sensor isnt working even though I bought a brand new one from nissan not even a month ago :(
