A while back, not sure if anyone would remember, I started a thread about doing interior work. Yesterday, the wifey and I devoted the whole day to doing her interior. Here're some pics of the twins, ones a 91 and the other a 93. I wasnt able to take before shots, but I'll use the door panel to illustrate. Please dont reply until I'm done posting pics. Thanks~!

Here's where things get really interesting. I havent really done any cosmetics to them, besides the project yesterday. Here's the door panel, the dash used to be this color, so just use your imagination.

And here's how it looks like now

We even took care of the steering column cover~!

PS - To all those who replied to my post ealier this year (or last, dunno....i forget) the project didnt go so bad. Just took some time cyphering through the paint and which to use. Took me and the wifey almost the whole day, but pretty good so far. (SMELLS LIKE PAINT~! >:P)

Okay, you guys can comment now. Thanks for waiting~!

LOL, yeah we figured we'd hit that later with a complete custom carpet, or some dye. I'm thinking about going with a gray and black theme, similar to hers but just gray so I dont feel like they're too similar. What do you guys think? White or gray?

heh, I did the same thing with mine, well except for the painting It looks really nice though. I did swap out all the brown/tan interior pieces minus the seats and the floor mats, this was all spread over 2 weeks or so as I was collecting the pieces.

First day of the swap: change the door panels (15 minutes, tops)

Second day of the swap: change the dash, carpet and random interior pieces in the front (took 8 hours by my self)

Third day of the swap: change the rest of the interior pieces in the rear of the passenger area and the rest of the front interior pieces.(5 hours)

4th day: remove old door inserts from old panels and new door inserts of new panels and switch them...(hour, had to wait for the glue to dry)

if want any tips on getting the rest of that stuff out let me know :)

I actually stripped the interior before, when I got it. It was really dirty. I stripped everything and went in with a vacuum cleaner.

How'd you get door inserts out? We're trying to figure out if we should dye it too or if there's a vinyl part that we can paint over. Thanks for the info~!

for the door inserts its really easy, it just takes some time to pull them off, but all you need to do is go into the groove around them with the screw driver and pry up the sideso you can pull on it. then go very slowly because it will have a black vinyl backing that will want to come off, especially around the holes for the door handle and locks and such, just take your time.

I like the white on black, I probably would have done a metallic color, like gunmetal or something like that but thats presonal preference are you going to do the panel around the ash tray as well?Eric
