I bought my 2010 Rogue S 360 in March and was added onto my GF's insurance b/c we live at the same address. The agent quoted me $577 for 6 months, which is a great price for down here(Basic policy of 100/300/100 and 500 deductibles). Louisiana has the highest auto insurance rates of any state. She also got a lower rate for having multi-cars on the policy. All in all, it was a win-win. We paid half of the premium in March and just got a bill for the rest of it. Apparently the quoted premium for just my car went from $577 to $801. We called the agent and found out that this was because I wasn't switching from another insurance company.(I had been with State Farm for 18 years, but at the end of January I sold my personal car and didn't need insurance since I didn't own a car, so cancelled my State Farm policy). B/c of this, my premium has gone up over $200. If I had just switched from State Farm, this wouldn't have happened.
Anyway, I've been checking out insurance companies online and getting quotes. Allstate offers me 25/50/25 with 500 deductible for $601. This includes the Platinum Package which has multiple accident forgiveness, $100 off deductible immediately and then $100 off every year with no accident(so $400 deductible now), 5% back of premium with no accidents every year, full replacement of new car within 3 model years(so until 2013 I can get a new Rogue). The 25/50/25 is all I need since I don't own the home. The other insurance required me to carry that much b/c the GF owned her home and that is how much she carried. All in all, I think Allstate offers more value to me, especially considering I haven't had an accident in 15 years(knock on wood

Anyone here have Allstate and can attest to their customer service, etc? Just wondering since I'm leaning that way.
