i have a s13 blacktop in my 97 s14 on very cold mornings like 45 or less when i start it idles really rough. lots of smoke i figured out thats its running rich but i dont understand why it does that on cold mornings. I rev it up for about 5 mins and it runs ok. Im going to change the plugs Im not sure if thats the problem. Also i had Swap done and no check engine light comes on. Is there someway to hook that back up?

yeah hook up pin 24 on the ecu conector to the red wire on the ecu sub conector that goes to the dash, you will probly need to get a pin from a nissan ecu conector at the junk yard, there is no pin in the 24 slot, I got one out of a 240 at the junk yard. If you search there should be some more info.

i've noticed that my car stutters a bit when i start it on cold mornings and just run it immediately. what's happening ( i think) is that the turbo isn't able to compress air effeciently until it warms up, so the car begins to stutter (especially between shifts). once it warms, it's ok. also, the idle is high during the first few minutes. i run around 1500-2000 on the tach until the car warms up and drops back down to 1000. that just signals to me that the car is trying to get more air by idling higher at start up.
