i've noticed that my car stutters a bit when i start it on cold mornings and just run it immediately. what's happening ( i think) is that the turbo isn't able to compress air effeciently until it warms up, so the car begins to stutter (especially between shifts). once it warms, it's ok. also, the idle is high during the first few minutes. i run around 1500-2000 on the tach until the car warms up and drops back down to 1000. that just signals to me that the car is trying to get more air by idling higher at start up.
