car idleing weird at random times

hi.i have posted my problem on other sites, but either they dont know wats happening or they dont wanna answer. well, my problem is sometimes when i start my car, it will idle funky, from 1000rpm and lower. it goes back and forth from 1000rpm. i try stepping on the gas, but then that makes the car idle even worser. if i keep giving it gas, then my car will die, same as if i just leave it idleing funky. sometimes if i mess around with the heater/ac, it works, but thats only sometimes. and if my car does start, it will idle funky at random times sooner or later. can someone help me with this??? whats wrong??? how can i fix this weird problem???

what year, e or de? did it just spontaneously start doing this or did something happen?

wtf does this mean. back and forth from 100 and what? you need to give better info if you expect someone to be able to diagnose your problems

you could start by opening the hood and looking for stuff that might be obvious. do you smell anything funny, any smoke? can you check your timing?

if all else fails take it to someone who knows whats going on.

i always had idle probs, turned out it was my coolant temp sensor connection was all corroded. cant hurt to check that

my car is a 93 de fb, non abs or vlsd. there is no smoking or no smells at all. wat i meant by going back and forth is that my rpm wont go up to 1000rpm and the needle is like twiching and moves up and down until my car stalls. i would like to take it to a shop but they dont know what seems to be the problem. they say when it happens take it to them, but this problem only happens at random times. sometimes my car will work perfectly and sometimes it will be act weird like this. i think this started to happen after i got into an drifting accident, but i only hit the back of the car.

it could be the gay stuff nissan decided to put on the car.

iaa or aiv yank em out to clean and stick it back in or throw it somewhere far far away. that should fix your problem hopefully.

Hey, I was having a very similar problem that you have. Then my car wouldn't start at all. A new set of plugs fixed that part of the problem. I also have a problem with my coil. That's as far as I've gotten in the troubleshooting here since I have to go get a coil tomorrow. I'm sure it's not the only problem I have right now either, but it could be a place for you to start checking. Another thing to check would be your mass air flow sensor. Better hope that's good or find a good one at a junkyard 'cause that baby isn't cheap! Good luck.

i had the same god damned problem. i got a tune up, new plugs and stuff.....it hasnt happened since then. i honestly dont know what it could be though because i think it still happened once after....oh well its been running just dandy for a while now...might want to try that?

i hate having the possibility of multiple possibilities.
