car idel high???

my car idels high, when i start it that car idels at like 2g then drop to 1500...i adjusted the idel screw and its all the way in, it wont turn no more, but it still idels high, what is wrong???

Try pulling the IACV off the intake, and give it a good cleaning. It might be completely covered in carbon, also check your Mass air sensor to.

what is the iacv and where exactly is it located on the intake???also when i check my maf what am i looking for that will tell me whats wrong with it???sorry bout the noob question!!!

wow this reminds me of my car... we had a hot spell here for like 3 days back in the beginning of august and like one morning I start my car and it idled just like yours (it use to idle at like 750). I pulled the power to reset the ecu but to no avail.... I know its not my IACV because the engine is super clean and brand new. I'm thinking I threw a code or something and it needs to be reset via a laptop or something.... maybe your experiencing the same thing? Either way, I'm getting some engine performance parts installed in the near future so I'm gonna get it tuned and have my ****ing high idle fixed at the same time. Good Luck
