I'm looking for a 300zx and was wondering what problems I would run into with a high miliage engine. I found a 1991 with 161k for $3300 obo near my house. Would it be cheaper to swap an engine than to rebuild one?

It really depends on how bad the motor is. My 300 has 224,000 miles on the orig. motor. The only problem ive had is timing and head gaskets.

I think the front cuts on the turbo motors are in the $1500-2k range? but just because it's high miles doesnt mean it needs rebuilt, I'm at over 200k on a turbo motor, if the timing belt and hardware gets changed these things can take a ton of miles without fail
