car heating on g37s

hey i was just wondering, when i first start my car it only takes about 2-3 mins for the heat meter to go to the middle.. does that happen to you guys or should i get it checked out? i only got 4600 miles on the car its still pretty much brand new.. let me know thanks : )

I noticed this on mine as well.. the coolant heats up incredibly quickly. I notice sometimes it starts creeping up before I've even started moving (30 seconds or so) despite it being 40-50 degrees outside. I would imagine the lowest tick mark is at least 100 degrees F.

Nonetheless, it's still prudent to drive the car a minimum of several miles before 'getting into it'.
