Alright so I know it's hard to explain engine noises but here goes, On a cold start or in the mornings when the engine is really cold I turn it on and sometimes its fine or it starts great and no worries. Other times it starts off well weak, or like it starts with low power and builds up until the engine is completely powered. Any one had one of these problems or a better way to explain it? What bothers me is that when I turn it off and on again the engine turns on well with no problems. Sometimes this worries me but it happens few times that I try to not let it bother me and no one has a clue what it could be and I trust no mechanics out there :/ Any ideas? Or list of stuff I can get checked? I worry about this car and bought it last year on October(Altima 2005 108,000 miles,I bought it used so any little thing I hear bothers the heck out of me because I don't want anything to happen. Any answers are helpful thanks

Take it and get the battery checked. See how many amps, not volts, it is putting out. Cold cranking amps are very important.

I literally just had this exact same issue, my battery was replaced last April (2012), and when I had it tested everything checked out awesome...I checked all my grounds, I checked my starter, alternator, EFI Module, everything was fine. Car died one more time, instead of jumping it, I took the battery to autozone...dead. I replaced the battery and the issue is gone. From my research I read a lot about similar sounding issues, and they all led back to a s*** Nissan battery.
