Hey guys, I just picked up an 84 200SX for Free yesterday, and I'm tryin to get it running but I've run into a HUGE hurdle, the car has NO electrical power what-so-ever. The Positive and Negative Battery Cables are new, and the Power cable from the battery to the starter is connected correctly and all the grounds look to be fine. (I might also mention I got the car like this so I have no history with the car what-so-ever. I'm wondering if I'm missing something b/c of my Lack of Nissans and imports in general. There's no Underhood Fuse/Relay Panel that I see, only an interior one and it only has one 10 amp fuse that controls "Engine Power". I do know that Hondas have a MAIN Fusible link that is in front of the Entire electrical system and if it goes bad, you lose all electrical power, so my main question is:: DO Nissans have a Main Power Fuse/Relay/Fusible Link that could possibly be bad, and if so, where's it located?? Just FYI, the motor is a 1.8L turbo. Any help you can throw my way Will be Greatly Appreciated.

Just be happy you got it for free. The bad thing is that it's going to cost you more to give it to a junk yard. Get rid of it. Trust me.

that's not the reply I was expecting to get, especially from a Nissan enthusiasts site. wow.... does anybody that actually likes Nissans have any input. it looks and seems like it'd be an awesome and fun car to drive and mess around with, that's why I'm trying to get it running,

could be a bad wire within the ignition column.thats my dads problem right now. but his car is a 78' volare. i guess the best thing u could do is trace the wires from the positve battery terminal and see what turns up.

and sorry for the dumbass above.

alright, thanks for the info, I'm gonna go out and mess with it today, and if see if I can figure it out. I'm gonna tear apart the dash and see if I've got power at the ignition switch. I think its odd that this car doesn't have a main power fuse of some sort though.

The '84 200SX is an S chassis, so it's actually related to the 240SX. I'd head for the 240SX and CA18 forums, they're going to be more help.

I'd continue the search for fuse box(es). Unless something is disconnected or shorted out, I can't see why there'd be no electrics whatsoever.

sconnie, get your head out of your ***.
