The meaning/purpose of a car guy's life.

1. To go to college to get a good job. (can substitute college with military)

2. Then to get a good job to make money.

3. Then make money to buy cars.

4. Then take those cars and modify them with car people.

5. Then drive them in a contest with other car people.

6. Then go to a bar and grill and discuss cars and driving with car people while consuming cold beer and hot wings.

7. Then go to the parkinglot of that bar and grill and look at other car people's cars.

8. Then to go to a hotel and get really drunk with car people and hope you don't get arrested.

9. Then go to the Waffle House with some car people at 3am.

10. Then sleep.

OH.. I almost forgot, thanks big john!!! 11. Eventually settle down some day, and get yelled at by your wife for neglecting her because you spend too much time with your car!

Once these objectives have been completed, the purpose of your life has been fulfilled. You may then repeat steps 3-10. But remember the purpose of step 2.

The end.:ylsuper

In addition to SIMMSLED's great list, you need to add:

Eventually settle down some day, and get yelled at by your wife for neglecting her because you spend too much time with your car!

Geez....how true is that. I'm constantly getting grief. Usually somthing like "why are these cam thingies lying on my living room rug" or "you were supposed to be ready to go out 2 hours ago and ur car still isn't running".

To which I reply "ya know you can be replaced easier than this motor I'm working on" which turns into a never ending cycle that I always seem to lose.

My name's John, and I'm addicted to torque-steer. :pface

But man, those couldn't have been more dead-on. As I sit, day-in day-out in my boring classes going over stuff I'm never going to use, I keep thinking....college to get a good job paying lots of money so I can buy lots of cars, and modify those cars, and drive them all the time like I think about in my endless daydreams.

<Sigh>.
