Car got vandalized: Please help.

Hey everyone,

I got my internet today.... so i have a story to tell. For those who know me, or don't, it's all truth. As some of you may know, I moved to a new city to work and experience new things. I'm working at a gas station to pay the rent until a new job comes along.

Tuesday, September 9th, 12:30pm - I go outside to my car, and find that my drivers side rear window (the curved one that says "240sx") has been shattered with a hammer. My car wasn't broken into, nothing taken... just a random act of violence. I called a local nissan dealership here, they quoted me $409 Cdn for a new window, plus install and an install kit, which is about $650+ Cdn.

My car has also been previously keyed and kicked - neither of which have been fixed. My insurance deductable is $750. I owe thousands of dollars for bank loans, student loans and a credit card.

I'm setting up a "Fix Craigs Car" website, with a paypal account and pictures. If any are financially stable enough to donate $1 or $2, please do, because I can't afford to fix my car... I've debated selling it, but if i do i'll lose thousands of dollars, since it has been vandalized. I'll also list my address and email account, so someone can send cash. If 1,200 people donate .50 cents each, my car could get fixed.

The website should be up by sunday night, along with the paypal account. Please send this thread around to anyone who may be able to help out a fellow car lover. Thanks,

Junkyard windows around here still sell for $200+, and I can't afford it.

The same window got vandalized on my car. I went to a local glass repair shop for a used window and got charged only $120 US dollars for it... I would call around and ask.

Too bad you arent around here...there are TONS of 240's in dallas junkyards and I know I could get a window cheaper than 200. In fact, next time I go I'll ask out of couriosity how much they would be...

Crap blink, that sucks. Sorry to hear about your car. People are just ****s. There will always be moron's out there, and unfortunately your car was a victim of their stupidity, obviously. I hope you get everything straightened out and you can get some money to fix her up. Good luck man.

Sorry to hear that man. Lat summer my passenger side quarter got smashed as well. I got quoted very high too. Try looking for used ones. I found a used one, installed for 200. Good luck man.

Remember guys, $200 installed is $300 canadian... i'm only making $700 a month, plus i have rent, electricity, phone, internet, student loans, car loan AND insurance. I can't afford it.

dude that sucks... just do the american thing, a plastic sheet and duct tape.. works wonders and will keep the water out.. someone was selling 180sx windows fer like 100$ or somthing awhile back.. if i ever get money ill send some your way.. or ill steal somthing from this party im going to tonight
