Seriously though i'm holding off getting a 3in till I turbo I think it's to big otherwise... Actually i'm thinking of doing a 2.5 even with turbo. I want low end power that's my whole point I don't drive 100+mph daily that's why i'm doing a fast spooling turbo
yeah...i was always under the impression that you can have too big of an exhaust. it seems that i ended up getting fooled by people who claim you don't loose low end with giant piping. well i took my car for a spin again today. it feels slower until i hit about 3500rpm - 7000rpm....down low the car just kinda bogs and then once i hit 3k~ the speedo and tach start jumping...definitely can feel some kind of increase in power...just not the kind i had hoped for...
so what i'm saying is...
If you like a laggy jagged powerband where you have to wring the neck out of your engine just to gain a few peak hp then get a big *** exhaust.
If you like a smoother flatter powerband with less peak hp but doesn't bog down low get smaller piping.
I'm probably going to visit my local muffler shop and tell them to just scrap the n1 piping and replace it with 2.5. i'll probably be a lot faster
