Today, drove my car around, ran how it normally does, went home to put on work clothes, came back out, started car, and this is how it runs:

It died instantly everytime i started it up, i gave it gas and it'd stay running but barely, it'd usually stall, but if i could get it to stay running, it'd idle at like 200 rpms, really low, and it'd be really shaky.

I had to get to work so I drove it, and it'd die everytime I let off the gas. My brake light in my dash is now on constantly, this just started happening with this problem. It buzzes too.

So any ideas? I was told tps, fuel filter, and fuel lines. Fuel filter is nearly brand new, I dont know how to check fuel lines, and tps is fine I think, cause I fixed an idle problem last month by putting on a different tps, but it wasn't brand new, so idk.

Any help is greatly appreciated, cause I need this car, its my dd.

check your battery, this sound familiar with my S14 the other day. it would not rev pass 2k RPM and it would look like if it was 2 stepping and the car would jerk like hell if i tried to drive it. i checked everything. untill my friend pointed out that my terminal was over a plastic piece on my battery . by the way did your dash light not come on too?

Sounds like you have a problem with the idle air control valve.

Well for one make sure the fuel pump is working still. when you turn the key listen for a higher pitched hum in the trunk. it'll run for around 5sec then turn off. If you hear that it's working fine.

okay so i tried to adjust my tps and it didnt do anything, so as i was tightening it up the screw broke, sooo yeah. i drilled it out and got it back in there, and adjusted my throttle cables, and now my idle is up around 700 again, but now my brake light in the dash and my battery light in the dash is on. When I rev it or give it gas the brake light flickers and buzzes, but stays on, and once I start driving the battery light dims down to pretty much off, but i can still see it on. any ideas on that? My idle is back up though, so it's driveable..

EDIT: read up on it, I'm assuming it is the alternator causing those problems. It can't be the battery, I just got a brand new one. Should I replace the throttle body piece that the tps attaches to though? Cause Istill dont know the source of that problem.

I think swpS13 might be on the right path. Low voltage can cause all kinds of havoc with your electronics. Check your battery, terminals, and cables for poor connection and/or corrosion or a low charge. Also check your alternator and make sure it's working properly and the connections are good. With a poor idle, brake light, and buzzing noise, which should be unrelated, seem to have a root cause. Good luck.

Alternator.. sounds like its taking a crap, not spinning fast enough at idle to compensate for its deadness, or generate enough power for ignition misc. Once you get it spinning fast enough it starts making power like it should, take it to autozone and have it tested. I have an extra one from a blown ka if you want it...

Wow! the same thing is going on with mine, but my brake light came on before the car started messing up.
