Car doesnt want to start when cold

This is a VERY lightly modified KA. When I bought the car the timing was off and putted like it was cammed. It would start no problem and didnt feel like the timing was off. So I reset the timing on it, now it sounds like its running smoothly and between 3000 until redline the powerband feels extremely flat, worse than before and climbs rpms very slowly. Almost immediately after the timing was reset when it sits overnight or for a few hours, enough to completely cool off it does not want to start. I have to try and turn it over for a few minutes before it turns over. Its been progressively getting worse and has gotten to the point where my battery has died trying to start the car.

I assume this has something to do with the timing but I dont have the slightest clue what could cause this, any help would be greatly appreciated!
