My car doens't seem to want to get to redline....I have no exhaust now which has helped a lot. Motor was choking itself out. Wondering if their is another issue.2" hot and cold pipes...My tune is a bit rich so Got to fix that, which may be the issue in itself. Just wondering if yall have any other ideas while I'm working out the bugs. TY

You A$$Feels like power drop off. It doesn't cut-off like it did before though. I have crower V2 cams so it should take me to redline. Seems it doesn't want to pull much past 6000

Do you have a boost controller?

Before my Type S my power fell off around 5600 or so and now with it I run hard to redline. You may want to try a boost controller.

2 inch charge pipes will be fine. does your car pull hard all the way up to 5600 rpm? are you running stock exhaust? if so, that maybe your problem.

Open downpipe.. no exhaust, before it was 2.5 system to muffler and 2.5 pipe split to 2 2.5" tipsRemoved exhaust and it flows a lot better. Soemone said cam timing... But I hate cams and timing. I read the cam alignment page but it is more about getting it back on the correct sprocket....I'll do another run next week once my BRM Exhaust shows up

bad cam timing and u would notice a difference in IDLE right away. check your engine timing, do u have a tuned ECU?

stock KA feel pretty weak at the high end. This is probably not your problem though...

What happens when you put stay in 1st gear and floor it? near 6k rpm it just feel weak and rpm won;t hit 7k?

1st and 2nd gear it tachs out, but 1st is worthless tires break loose... 2nd I Go to shift when it goes past 6300ish, by the time i shift it's 6800ish.Just 3rd gear and 4th don't seem to pull to the top. Maybe I'm just wanting it too lol. Plan to go to the track this Friday. I'll update after that and see, Because I'll tune the car on the way there. It's a bit rich in the high end so it could be just that....

I hate to say cam timing but I would seriously check that. If you are familar with KA-T.org then you should know of a guy Elks240, he has a built motor, 60-1 turbo, Crower V2's and a eclipse ecu and harness conversion his intial dyno numbers were scary low considering he was running 20psi, and at 25psi he only made 275hp due to cam timing being messed up, and from what I read it idled fine.

Yea that's what I'm thinking Cam timing. On the dyno I had 165hp 191ftlb of torque peak power was at 4000rpms and this was at 10psicar is faster nwo that exhaust restriction is gone but still feels not like it should...How I check cam timing? All I keep finding is cam alignment which is correct... I'll search again l8r, middle of a valve cover swap on my friends pick-up

well I was gonna swap heads anyways considering the previous owner decided to rethread the valvecover bolt holes, and USED THE WRONG THREAD SIZE so that it strips the bolts. plus i think i have valve lash.

you were making your peak hp at 4000 cause that sounds like something is wrong, it should be at a higher rpm than that, which would indicate timing issues.

What turbocharger are you running? What A/Rs? Internal or external wastegate? Is this a new problem, or has it always been that way?

New problem, but new engine. Had 2 stock engines and had no problems. Arias 8.8 pistons and crower v2 cams
