car dies while driving!?

heres the story, i was driving my 95 240sx with around 135xxx miles on the freeway then when im on 5th gear with my feet on the gas, the car suddenly dies, i tried starting it again but it would let me. SO IM THINKING WTF?

Then, finally it starts again, so i get home and i shut off the engine and i tried to start the engine again and it wont start! The car had no power at all, windows didnt work, dashlight didnt work. So i turn my car off and back to the on position again and it had power again and starts perfectly! WTF.

Im sorry for the long post but im just dam confused, never happened to me or my buddies, any help would be much appreciated thanks.

Sounds like you have some wirering issues bub! Start from the battery and work your way to the firewall. ie: Positive terminal - theft warning connection plus fuses that sometimes is a critter! If you can, turn your car in the on position and check the fuses in the driver side. That should give you a more or less good idea.

Dont forgrt to check your grounds too. Grounds tend to mess with the engine and all the electrical!!

thanks for the quick respond, ill try n check that tommorrow, i did however, clean the battery terminals early today which i suspect it might be, seems like i was close :

****, im still having the problem, i have already check the battery and the alternator which were both fine, i checked the ground and they were fine also.

So i check my fuses and all of them were good, now im suck, any sugestion would greatly be appreciated!

PS: i have recently changed my spark plugs from bosch platinum 4+ to NGK copper top, do you think this might cause the problem? thanks
