My 1991 s13 cuts off on me whenever its in idle. I have to put the car in neutral and rev the engine while at a stop sign. The rpm drop extremely quick when I let off the gas. When stopped and I don’t rev the engine it bounces on 0 for a second and then dies. This gets really frustrating when I first start that car because if I back out slowly like I should, the car wants to shut off. This doesnt happen every time but it does it way too much. Does anyone know what I can do to diagnose this issue?

Either a vacuum leak, or one of your idle controllers is messed up.

Sounds like you have an air leak somewhere after your MAF.

EVERYONE HAS IDLE PROBLEMS!!! Use that search button. Try cleaning out ur maf, coolant temp sensors, cleaning your grounds, checking for leaks, loose plugs. Try taking out Your AIV, very easy. Just look up Aiv Removal.
