Interesting, I was in the same situation not too long ago. I just bought my car, drove it a while fine, all was well. Woke up one morning, start it cold, fine, drove around, dropped someone off, started it back up, fine, parked, thirty minutes later, start it up, started, needle wouldn't steady, and just died. Started again, same stuff. Eventually it wouldn't even start.Do what I did, first get to the ECU and read the code. The codes can be found on the FAQ on 240sx.org. Chances are you had what I had, a bad fuel pump. The ECU told me, however, that I had bad injectors (which I initially thought) but took it to a mechanic since I was stranded and sure enough, a fuel pump later and here I am still driving.Chances are, it's your fuel pump or something in your fuel system, if there were a leak in your intake plumbing, your car wouldn't die because air would be getting to your engine, just not filtered and not through the MAF which will upset something, but not kill the engine. Sounds to me ample fuel is not getting to your car, and in my case it was the fuel pump.My two cents, cut me some slack cuz I'm a newbie on this board as well, but feel free to correct me. Best of luck to you.
