I've got a 92 240sx hatch, KA24DE, and I've got a pretty annoying, possibly serious problem. It seems that randomly whenever the car drops to idle, such as coming to a stop or just starting up, it'll just cut out. It starts right up afterward but I have to give it throttle to keep it running. The issue isn't even consistent, it just happens randomly. anyway, any help is appreciated.

I had the same problem too. Its a sensor for sure...(at least i think). I'd check your mass air flow, the engine can run w/ out it plugged in but i wont idle. check all the connections on all of the sensors. The best way I diagnosed the electrical problems w/ my 17 year old 240 is just to jiggle and move all of the wires wile it was running to see if It would run any differently. then you pin point the problem after that. Also check out your TPS, temp. sensor and knock sensor.

O! you could just have a vacuum leak some where. have it smoke tested.

run some fuel system cleaner though it... cant hurt to help the world
