Ive been having this issue with my CA.

Ill be driving down the highway and my RPM gauge will jump from 3k to 0 and back and forth. I first thought it was my cluster screwing up but there is no response from the throttle when it happens. Now the first few times it happened it came right back to running state. And it has slowly progressed into the car wont come back for a few minutes and a few trys at cranking it. Tonight i was stuck on the side of the interstate.... not fun. the motor has fuel. as i can hear my Fuel Pump priming everytime i turn the key. It happens whether the MAF is plugged in or not. When it is running my boost gauge reads 20 vac. like normal.

Also sometimes when i crank it and get it started it will just sit there and jump in idle from 0-500 rpm and then ultimately just die. But after that it will start just fine and act as if everything is ok....

SO i guess im asking if anyone has had this issue before and/or if people could point me in the direction of what i should be looking for. Ive traced the MAF wires all the way back to the ignitior and there not cut or frayed at all.

Clith Notes:

Check cdes on ecu. Be wary of code 13 which your water temperature sensor. Check it's connection or check the sensor itself. You guys got to read as I just covered this recently with another member.

ok so MAF, CAS, and Knock

if i unplugged the MAF, and CAS without resetting the ECU would that pull the code?

when i was stranded i unplugged the maf to start it, and this morning i disconnectted every plug to check for damage to the wires. I put everything back the way its supposed to be, and the car starts right up. But ive got these codes.

Also i think i knos exactly what the issue with my Knock sensor is, and ill be re wiring that today.

Also il go ahead and order a new temp sensor since there cheap

time to start sorting it out.
