I have a hks bov (open), tomei ecu, full 3in from downpipe back, walbro fuel pump, blitz air filter, sidemount intercooler and i am running about 12lbs of boost. I decieded to have some fun with my car a couple times in the past month since i finally got it running right about 4 months ago. I was out trying to drift so of course i was staying high rpms and feathering the throttle causing the bov to release boost.( I know this can cause extra fuel and make it run rich. I keep a check on my spark plugs and they stay slighty on the white side, which i think is weird because i sr's normally run rich) Well not long after drifting for less than 5min my car will die and will not stay running and will buck a little bit but will clear up after a while of normal driving. Is the car just flooding? Hks makes a unit that helps with using open bovs. Do you think this will help? I am looking to go to drifting events but not with the car acting like this. I do know i need a front mount tonight one of the couplings came loose. Basically i am asking what can i do to correct this.

Honestly, I think it's something else. Not sure though...maybe someone can chime in and give some ideas.

What I would do is tighten up the bov and check for boost leaks.

Sound simliar to a problem I had, it may not apply to you. But in my old S13, driving normally the car performed fine, but pushing it and driving hard caused it to bog, stutter, and eventually die.

Turned out it was my Fuel pump on the fritz.
