okay i was drivng at night with the lights on and my radio on. den my radio power went out. it came back on after a 5-10 secs and den went back out again, i tried fixing it by taking the face plate off while driving. den my car made a clicking noise (i took my clutser off to change some light bulbs and didnt bother to put the cluster back on since it was a short drive so didnt know it was the emergency lights ) the clicking noise was from accidently turning on the emergency lights while trying to take off the face plate. was tryign to fix radio while driving so i must have pressed the emergency button. anyways i panic from the sound so i turned off my engine at a empty small street at the stop sign. i figured the stupid clicking sound was from the emergency lights so i try to start my car again. couldnt turn it back on =(. i can hear it barely try to start and den it was just dead. fren came and gave it some juice (power). what do you think? battery dying or alternator? my battery light on the cluster never blinked right before i took off the cluster so i dont know. car starts fine for tonight. i started it a few times just to make sure. any sugesstions

odd that its ok now, but it sounds as though your alternator went out,at least for a short time, the reason the radio went on the fritz was lack of sufficent voltage. you should get the alternator tested but first check all the wiring to it to be sure its all secure. If you find something loose that is likely your problem.

i dunno if itd cause a stereo to dim but it sounds like just a maf connection otherwise....read them stickys, give stuff the wiggle test first before spending any money or time.
