car died a couple times in the past 3 weeks

a little background....95 ka24de into a 90 240sx

i'm not to worried about it but my car has died after i push out of 5th gear into neutral. and instead of going back to idle it just died....i think its because my idle is a little to low....i still have not got a tach after the swap i did so i don't know where it is at idle....it idles smooth though....?????
