ok what did you do for your rebuild? there is open loop and closed loop for cold running and operating temp. does it just die or slowly stall out? it may be as simple as an unpluged sensor but it sounds like a bad maf or o2 sensor.

Ok, you have a dual cam motor but im sure you have it too.

On the intake manifold there should be a temp sensor, start the car, let it warm up and act funny, disconnect the sensor and see if it runs normal after that, happened to mine, although mine is a single cam. Pretty easy thing to check, try that and see what happens. Hope this helps.

buy a new temp sensor at autozone ($15) and 2 gallons of antifreeze flush your system and you should be all set. My neighbors 240 just had the exact same symptoms.

If the temp sensor is faulty, the ECU might think you're overheating or something and the car will have a hard time starting.

That happened to me, and I replaced it and the problem was solved.

or like someone said, closed loop and open loop, when your car isn't warmed up it just runs like whatever, and when it warms up it starts running correctly. If its not running correctly then it could be maf or o2, i had a bad o2 sensor and i could run my car for like 5 minutes till it warmed up then it s*** on me and wouldn't run

Ok well before buying anything try what I said and anyone else having that problem, my temp sensor acted up my car would stall and not start until it was cold again, but anyways

Whoever is having the problem, start your car let it warm and die, see if it starts when it doesn't start, then disconnect the sensor, now try to start the car, if it starts, go to the front and plug it back in to see if it acts up.

Simple free thing to try before spending money and throwing parts you may not need in.
