Car dead in the water....help

My key won't come out of the ignition. Car won't start, nothing works, lights, horn, etc., etc.

Now the multi-remote controller doesn't work either. Won't open the trunk, won't beep, won't lock doors.

Is this simply a matter of replacing the batteryin the remote? Will the car not start if the battery in the remote is dead?

Remote battery would have nothing to do with it. Sounds more like the car battery if nothing is working.

You said key is stuck in the cylinder? Does it turn at all? Try to wiggle your steering wheel and turn the key. See if that does anything...
