I need new fenders. Can I get input on the ED fenders please.

So today was Blast to the past. :dblthumb: A local event mostly muscle classics but theyre open for everyone. In preparation for the event I washed my car and did some final detailing before I was to meet with a local group of Houston nissan/datsun owners for a late lunch at 59 diner. Car was washed and ready and so was I but, under the anticipation I forgot to shut my hood closed. It was latched, just not shut all the way, so as I drove down my neighborhood at a chill 20mph I see my windshield turn white. POW! my hood flew open and smashed into my windshield. I came to a haulting stop and hoped no damage was done. I sat in my car for a second as I was not prepared for what I might see. :wtf2:
hesitant I slowly opened my door and immediately was crushed. My fenders popped out and my hood got scratched :crybaby :crybaby closing the hood took some effort as the fenders are bent outwards at the top.(right before the windshield)
Anyways with the new damage My car looks like total a**. First bumper and now fenders and hood. I'm looking into getting the ED fenders as replacements but ive read on here that they have fitment issues? I would like to know if I should make and effort and get the ED fenders of just oem replacements. Also I saw some cf fenders available on ebay I believe. As for the hood I can live with the scratch for a bit but am considering upgrading to a CF one. I know they sell oem style cf hoods but are there any different style ones? Ill upload pics of the damage when daylight hits. And yes i made it to 59 diner then we cruised down to the event.if you read this post congrats. :chuckle:

Driver side. popped it in place a bit more so it doesnt look AS bad as it did

Oh man that sucks. At least this gives you a chance to upgrade (gotta look on the bright side right?).

The first or second year I had my alti, I was driving along and noticed my hood wasn't all the way down... on the interstate going 50-60 mph. Guess I was lucky nothing happened.

Yeah it sucks mine flew open. I wasn't speeding or anything. Thing was latched but not shut. You're lucky ot didn't happen to you. :mike def. Going to upgrade the fenders if getting the ED ones are worth the hassle.
