car cutting out at 2500rpm?

I am having a couple problems with the 91 300zx twin turbo I just bought. It will not rev past 2500rpm. It almost feels like its hitting a rev limiter. Any idea what could cause this?

I'm not a z genius... but I'm thinking its your mafs. If its bad, it'll toss your ecu into safe mode and it won't let you pass a certain rpm (at least I know that for the 240s, maybe different from the z )

I think you are right, i double checked the manual and it says the same thing. I ordered another MAF today. Thanks for the help

my car used to stall..i found the problem to be the cam shaft sensor..ifs its bad the ccar will act up..
