I just picked up the latest issue of Motor Trend. According to DuPont Automotive here is the list for the 2002 and 2003 most popular car color.
Color 2003 2002 (Percentage)1. Silver 20.2 22.82. White 18.4 15.23. Black 11.6 12.04. Medium/dark gray 11.5 7.05. Light brown 8.8 6.46. Medium/dark blue 8.5 10.97. Medium red 6.9 6.98. Medium/dark green 5.3 5.09. Bright red 3.8 3.310. Dark red 0.9

w00t! im in the lowest minority with dark red! well, kinda, cause i have white too. oh well, majority is red! i still like that dark red nissan used, i think i'll stick with it wheni repaint the car.

Think about cars that aren't sports cars or sporty cars for that matter. IE, you will see more white and grey minivans than red and black. Also, trucks I see are usually white or black, not red
Of course there are a few exceptions, but not the majority

The color is not important to me, per se, but I do like some specific colors. In my M45, I wanted the Garnet Fire, but what the dealer had (with the minimal options I wanted) was the Brilliant Silver. So that is what I now drive!

in my 4 years of high school and two years of college..ive learned this. "Fact: 9 out of 10 girls between the ages of 17-25 who drive a silver car have been designated with the title of hottness!"
the theory is bulletproof..check it out..lemme kno wut u think.

I think sometimes the style of the car greatly effects the color or the color effects the style, just because it looks good on this car doesn't mean it will on that one........just a thought.

Silver works well with a lot of the edgier designs out now. Its a good way of showing off creases on a Cadillac XLR, for example, or the muscular fenders on an SUV.
