It's easier not to paint strip the entire car. That's very expensive, and unpractical + messy.Slo_240sx wrote:never change the color of a car you will regret it for the rest of your life. Don't change completely I mean different shades of the same color will do. But if its red don't paint it green, cuz when it chips it'll look like crap. The only real way to do it is sstrip the whole car acid dip it and paint. Unless you got money I wouldn't suggest it. Deep colors are cool candy colors are always good looking. I love deep blue or even shiny black sinister type looking.
I don't mean use a paint stripper, I meant strip the car and have it the body acid dipped. Thats the only real way to do a complete color change. By that time hes going to be spendingmore than he paid for the car. If you rather grind it down instead, youre doing alot of body work, you'll have to remold the whole surface and that would be very expensive and unpratical. Just a lil key scratch will be enough to show you that youre car was a different color before and I wouldn't want red showing under silver cuz thats just nasty and it looks like you did half *** work. If you want to change it, buy a body thats that color and swap everything around. Believed me I've changed the color of my old car and wish I never did it even though everyone was telling me not to. It was Yellow over red and when the door jams would get chipped it looked like As$. No Thanks I'll pass but I forewarned incubus. When someones comes around to check your ride out thats a anal flawless-work freak youre gonna catch Chit for it and they'll walk away from you. I'd rather do a job that looks clean and neat with no chips showing ugly colors under, that way when they are looking for a flaw and can't find anything they'll shake my hand and say good job, and at the end of the day I feel better.Nameless EJ6 wrote:
