Hi everyone! I need your help with something.

I just bought a 98 240sx, installed wheels suspension, exhaust and bla, bla, bla... I'm deciding if I should go sr20 or rb25, I am a power freak. That would be question one.

Or... I have been offered to import a Skyline into mexico, it would be the only one, but who offers me this, wants my POrsche Twin Turbo, the car is not new its a 97, but its a euro version with 430hp, Ruf 19"wheels and coilover suspension. If I go this route I would need the 240sx, and I would only keep 1 car. The amount being offered for my car is way above market, what to do?1 car 2 cars. I could always invest the money and make more, but I just Love my porsche.

What to do?

David

well think of this, your porsche is already rhd which is unique but they are rare yet you see em every now and then. How often do you see an r34?

1. learn basic japanese2. buy a ticket to tokyo 3. bring with you the best catalitic converter you can possibly get on the market4. once in tokyo, findyourself a reputable salesmen, buy the car, stick the cat on it and ship it legit to the us

i can see your not exactly a poor man, and i think i am being realistic when i suggest this to you.

also think of it as getting two birds with one stone, you get to visti japan!

GO WITH THE SKYLINE. I wolud say stick with the Porshe if say you inherited it in someway and you didnt have any money. But you dont seem to be doing to bad considering you have a 430hp Porshe. Itll be so much more badass. You can scare mcdonnalds employees when you pull into the drivethru in reverse. But I am just biased towards the Skyline because I like to see people spending $$$ on things besides Porshes, Benz, etc. But you can tell the guy I will trade my 240 for his skyline. And R34s are so damn sexy. Good lord

Thanks for all your replies, but let me point out somethings, I didn't inherited the porsche, I sold my previos toys and bought just one, damned expensive toy here in mexico. I'm not rich, I wish I was, and i'm a bit short thhis days, but I dont owe any money (thank god).

I thought about going to japan and buying one, but it just ads to the cost of the car, I'm going to have to spend a lot in permits and taxes, and to be honest, I cant wait 1-2 months for the car to arrive by boat. I saw a 2002 gtr for sale in Costa Mesa, CA. it aint cheap 55K its still a JDM car, not DOT legal, which is what I need.

I'll keep you posted on the subject. I think I made up my mind, I'm going to buy a GODZILLA.

I just hope customs allow me to import it, lets all prey.

Go with the skyline, and as for your 240sx . .you said your a power freak, and even the fastest 240's with sr20's haven't gone over 700 ever really, so the rb25 would easily be a better choice. It's a monster engine that refuses to detonate. The skyline engines are the only ones tested up to 2000 horsepower without any internal problems or signs of detonation, think about that and you'll easily find your answer.
