Someone has been breaking into cars around my neighborhood. My daily driver (91 toyota camry) was broken into 4 times, had it's window broken, it's ignition cyl broken, and dash wiring destroyed. i had to donate the car because it would cost too much to keep fixing and have them do it all over again.

Now they hit my 240. They broke the ignition cylinder and cut up all my dash wiring in an effort to hotwire it. The next day they broke my driver's side window, my mom's driver side window, 6 of my neighbor's windows, then they drove down a few more streets and busted about 30 more car windows.

My problem is multi-faceted and i don't really know how to solve it. The ignition cylinder is no biggie (costs maybe 70 bucks to replace it). But i don't know about the dash wiring. There are wires and relays and crap hanging down from my dash and i have no idea what they do or what they connect to. I just got paid today but i won't have enough money to cover the broken window, the ignition cylinder, take the car to a shop to have it rewired...

I'm basically looking for any fellow nico-heads around my area to maybe help me with the dash wiring/maf wiring. I need to get this car running again and start driving it again. My mom and I have been carpooling but she's getting very tired having to take me to work early in the morning and late at night. I don't blame her at all. I also need to buy and rig up some sort of cheap but effective alarm because i know these guys will be back. I have filed 3 police reports so far and i haven't seen a single cop come by my house at the time the attacks happen. so i can't trust the police.

I need help from my fellow 240 lovers. Someone is threatening my car and my livelihood and i don't really know what to do. I live in union city california and am mainly free on the weekend. I'm trying to get this done this weekend so i can move the car before they try and do any more damage to the car. thanks in advance everyone!

find someone that has a 240 and pull off the steering column cover and compare. this will be the easiest way. as for the initial problem, it seems like cops are only there when you dont need them, it seems like you might have to take matters into your own hands. gather a few friends and camp out. coffee and baseball bats.if you fix your car they will only break it again, you have a right to protect your property.

All my friends with 240's either don't have them anymore or are very very far away now. I can't stay up at night because i have work at 7 am every morning.

i was hoping someone around the fremont/union city/san jose area would be willing to help me out.
