Car Broke Down Need Help PLZ

OK, so the other day i was sitting at a light and i rev my car up till about 6k rpms. the car suddle idles down and then stalls. i then try to start it back up but it wont start. the first thing that comes to my head is a vac leak. i get the car off the road and then i try to start it up and it starts right up no problem. but i let it sit and decided to pick it up later

that sounds like something the rev limiter would do. but then 6k isn't high enough for that... so maybe not
