k i bought this car cheap. its a 89 240sx with the de swapped in but the guy never knew what he was doing so i had to re-do the entire swap over.

anyways i got the car running after the list of what i replaced.upper and lower wire harness.distributerplugs as they were fouled by car running extremely richre-timed it properly at tdcinjectorsbatteryfpr just did thisfront vac lines as the pair valve was deleted.

now i was thinking it was fuel related problem as i was not getting fuel returning but after changed the fpr and got fuel returning this is what is going on....

k well i swapped the fpr with my dd 240 and got fuel coming through the return line. started it up and it idles the same normal i guess.(i still need to replace the tach), try giving it throttle and it bogs to die instantly and let off the throttle and it goes back to idle. after idleing, when it starts to warm up it starts idleing rougher sluggish and begins sputtering to die. then dies. start the car up again then it idles for a few seconds then dies. only runs for awhile on a col;d start. but still why does it want to die /backfire instantly the second i throttle it?

im seriously losing my head. running out of ideas on this. been working on this on and off for a month now and NEED to get this running right. i know im so close but its messing with me. if you want a vid i can take one

PLEASE HELP

My car did this when i first got it. Would bog out from idle down to 300rpms and flutter all over. I used 5w30 on that first oil change. The next time i did an oil change i used 10w-30 and it smoothed out and idles perfect now.

This may not be your problem but it fixed my idle problem.

Sorry dude. you've posted this a couple of time. and many people threw out some ideas and then you posted more new post. i personally think that you really don't want to fix this problem. 1 because you didn't respond to what we said at the last post and started a new one or 2 you just think that we are full of it and didn't do what we suggested, because you are so on set with "YOU KNOW YOU'VE DONE EVERYTHING RIGHT. AND WE ARE FULL OF IT." we only suggested stuff because we have done stuff and forgot something. but if you just start from the basic you will find it. SORRY DUDE I WILL NOT POST ON THIS ANYMORE. GOOD LUCK.

^ im not understanding why you are so mad?? i have taken everybodys advice thus why i have gotten this far. when i started out i had no fuel nor spark. and from there i have retimed everything replaced sensors , wiring harness etc.

it starts up but runs rich and then idle starts to slowly drop as it warms up to stall and bogs on throttle. hesitate to accelerate. i just made this new thread cause things are different now and trying to get advice on the current situation. as of now i have no codes at all being thrown except code 55 which means all is normal. thats why i am asking cause im not sure what is causing the problem? again i have taken all info i have recieved even yours!

the only thing left for me to check now however is what you mention the coolant temp sensor. sorry if i made you mad in any way but i am trying hard to make this run right putting tons of hours into it after peeps advice and hours and hours of researching through out forums

damn didn't mean to come of like i am mad. just didn't understand where you stand with what was said in the other thread. didn't really see any respond on what you've done. anyways hope you find the problem cus it sucks bad when we get stuck on something that may be simply stupid. GOOD LUCK.

have you reset the tps & idle yet?

to rule out any fuel issues you may think you have, it may not be a bad idea to install a fuel pressure gauge inline on the feed side just to verify the pressures.
