Ok this started on Thursday [apr 1st, atleast thats when I noticed it]..

Thursday: Everytime I start my car it turns over but sounds like its barely getting juice and has to crank a few more times than normal before it starts

Friday: Same thing, seems a little bit worse

Saturday: Starts ok in the morning, after driving for an hour or so I turn it off for about 10 - 15 mins while im in a store.. go back out, car wont turn over.. it clicks but thats it.. just one click everytime i turn the key.. so I turn everything off, disconnect the fog lights [they are on when the key is on] and try again.. after a few minutes it starts.. go home, check the mail, goto start it.. same thing.. takes 10 - 15 seconds then begins to crank [slowly again]..

I bought a battery last November or October.. I went and got a brand new one [free / replacement].. same deal.. I took it to kragen for their free test and the lady said that my battery is fine [... thanks] and that my starter/alternator are fine, but to check my fuses..

When the car is running I can disconnect the negative battery cable and the car continues to run.. so I don't know if it's my starter or alternator, but i'm afraid one of these days it's just not going to start at all.. any input would be greatly appreciated

Things i've checked:- Battery [replaced today- Battery cables [don't see any corrosion on them]- Clutch safety switch

And on an off topic note.. should the A/C condensor fan ALWAYS be on when the A/C is running? I haven't seen mine running when the A/C is on..

I'd say your alternator is shot. If I were you, I'd take it out and get a friend to drive you to Schuck's, they'll test it for free.

Ok.. update..

Went to my moms house last night, on the way up it started [slow again, but it started], then when I got ready to leave it wouldnt start..

Tried giving the start some love taps with a big wrench, don't think it really made a difference, tried 'jumping the starter', made a tiny little whirl noise and thats it.. had to roll it down the hill to start it.. so ghetto :(

Anyways, I think it's my starter.. what else can I do to test it?

you can take the starter out and hook it up directly to a 12v battery. It doent matter if you hook it up right or not, if you wire up an electric motor backwards, it just spins the wrong way.

Replaced the starter with a remanufactured bosch 'premium' one.. it sounds like the car is gonna take off when it starts
