my s14..

It backfires, runs rich as hell, feels like a loss of HP. I have no idea what would do it. I just replaced the MAF with these symptoms, and it was fixed for about a week. I replaced it with a used one anyways.

How much does the IAT sensor effect anything?

o and my temp gauge still fluctuates a lot and is crazy.

thanks

just a conjecture: is it possible timing belt skipped a tooth on the crank rear (from a defective tensioner, e.g.)? That would retard the spark and make it run hot. Or, how about a defective/ disconnected cylinder head temp sensor?

Check the o2 sensor and the timing belt. Sorry I couldn't be more detailed.
