I'd like to do this the right way.

Which side do I run the cable through?

What firewall holes/etc do I need to run the cable through?

How do I ground the amp and cap properly in the trunk?

Thanks.

This link shows how the guy ran it through a grommet in the firewall that is accessible by removing the wheel well cover on the drivers side. Turn the wheel so you can work in there. Take some of the screws out of the liner and pull it back. You will need something long and sharp to pierce the grommet, but there's nothing else in there. Pull the carpet back on the drivers side and feed the wire through.

I mounted my amps in the trunk and I found 2 bolts (one on each side of the trunk under the carpet, closer to the back seats than the license plate) that run clear down into the frame. I ground off the paint and cleaned up the bolt (rusty) and grounded it there.

I don't know anything about caps, never used/needed them.

There is access into the drivers wheel well from a hole behind the strut tower. The gromet to run it through is on the firewall behind the fuse block (inside).

If the amp is in the back, use one of the rear seatbelt mounting spots for your ground (sand the paint off for a good ground). The cap simply needs to be inline with the amp with it no further than 12" from the amp itself.

run the power cable on the opposite side you run your audio (rca) cable. find any spot to patch through most likely the easiest will be on the driver side. when you ground your cables in the trunk make sure you sand away ALL the paint to get to the bare metal.
