Hi, can anyone tell me which kind of car audio system I can buy that will replace the stock 1 CD player in the Versa, so that I wont have gaps in the DASH or anything, like so it would be a perfect fit.

they make kits that will hold a single din radio, or you can buy a double din radio. Your choice.

Nissan used a standard double DIN radio.

Since you have the S this doesn't really apply to you, but for others that might be wondering...

If you have the SL with the convienence package, you will lose the steering wheel radio and Bluetooth controls if you replace the stock radio.

They might make an adapter for the radio controls, it's been awhile since I checked Crutchfield. But the Bluetooth won't work without the stock radio.

Are there NO double din's out there with bluetooth and steering wheel controls? There must be something. I wouldn't want to lose the bluetooth function.

you can get HU that utilize their own bluetooth but nothing that i've seen that works with stock system.

If you get a double din you still might want to get the install trim kit. It has a bit of gap around if you don't get it.

There are actualy quite a few people on this forum who purchased the install kit for a single din radio and probably have the double din trim ring laying around somewhere. Probably wouldn't hurt to offer to buy one from someone for a few dollars so you don't have to go buy a whole kit.

I'm not sure if the trim will work without the kit, it usually would snap into it. A double din leaves no gaps, my installation looks fine, I used the OE brackets. In my opinion a double din will give the cleanest look, a single din with a kit shouts that it is aftermarket, double dins will blend in better and look more like they were meant to be there. I have a Kenwood unit, and I highly recommend Kenwood, I've always used them for headunits.

http://www.sonicelectronix.com --This site has the cheapest prices around, they are who I deal with and they offer free installation kits with the purchase of a headunit. They are very reliable.

http://www.crutchfield.com --Here is another reliable site, although they are a bit more pricey, but I'll let you make the decision.

Shop around a bit. I have a Kenwood DPX-301, if you want to check that out or any other Kenwood DPX series headunits.
